Ministry: Originally from Northern Ontario, I (Alenna) now live in Montreal, Quebec serving as a Campus Minister with InterVarsity. I am stationed at Concordia University and Dawson College, and I also resource Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario. Being shaped by God's Word and led by the Holy Spirit, the purpose of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship of Canada is the transformation of youth, students and graduates, in all their ethnic diversity, into fully committed followers of Jesus Christ. I have the privilege of being able to build relationships with students, equipping and encouraging them to build witnessing communities on campus where students of all different backgrounds can come and catch a glimpse of the goodness of God. It is truly a blessing to journey with students as they discover Jesus at such a critical stage in their lives.

“Behold, I Am Making All Things New”
New Semesters
Dawson College
At Dawson College, student leaders were met with a surprise guest at their first gathering of the semester. A student from another CEGEP, Champlain College, showed up to their Board-game Hangout expressing interest in starting a Christian fellowship at his school! When asked why he came all the way across the city and paid $20 for parking, he said he was inspired by what God was doing at Dawson College and had to come get connected somehow. He has since received some coaching from our colleague, attended the CEGEP training workshop we hosted for student leaders, and has begun leading the first gatherings at Champlain College! Dawson students have been challenged by the calling of Abraham in Gen 12:1-3 to be a blessing to their campus this school year. Praise God that His blessings are already rippling beyond Dawson walls!
Concordia University
"What do you want your uni story to be?" This question was posed to Concordia students at their Welcome and Worship event as part of a challenge to join Jesus in his story of reuniting heaven and earth—even on university campuses! Out of that, one student committed to organizing a new volunteer group to help with some of the food services offered on campus as a practical way to bless the school. Plus, there has been a renewed commitment to prayer this semester, with the Concordia prayer meetings more than quadrupling in attendance compared to last year!
New Baby
Our baby is due Oct 10! Once the baby arrives, Alenna will be going on maternity leave until January 2027, while Aaron will be on leave until January 2026. If you have any questions about this, feel free to reach out!
New Staff
Meet Zabdy, Concordia's new Campus Associate! She's a student working 10 hours/wk with InterVarsity over the 25-26 school year. An incredible leader and gifted at welcoming others, she will be supporting the Concordia fellowship this year, especially while Aaron is on parental leave. Her fundraising goal of $10,000 has been challenging to reach thus far. Would you consider helping the Concordia fellowship through giving them part-time staff to support them
Summer Round Up
Quebec Indigenous Partnership (QIP)
We were so impressed to see the students' commitment to building and mending relationships as well as learning from the elders and community members in Kanehsatake.
Youth Bible Camp and Camp ABK
This summer, we had two wonderful opportunities to share faith with Gen Alpha. First, Alenna was able to serve at Camp ABK's Day Camp. Shortly afterward, Aaron taught at the Montreal Youth Bible Camp!
Laurentian Support Network
Many fellowships across Canada are not given operating funds by their student unions, and LCF is no exception. This summer, they ran a campaign to raise up a support team and are thrilled to announce that they met their financial goal of $1500! They continue to seek partners who can provide food for events, rides for outings, and prayer as needed. Jesus prayed for things to be "on earth as it is in heaven." Join us in praying that this work of God is fulfilled on university and college campuses!

As students continue to invest in the relationships formed in Kanehsatake, pray that the God of Reconciliation would transform both the Mohawk community and the students by His Spirit.
Thanksgiving Retreat (Oct 11-13)
This Fall retreat celebrates gratitude and God's generosity and invites students to rest and enjoy creation. Pray that this time together would bless high school (we'll be inviting those from the Youth Bible Camp), CEGEP, and university students.
